All bowls coaches must complete the following courses to begin their coaching journey and earn their Bowls New Zealand Accreditation.
Target Player: Beginners, social, school-aged.

The Development coach will facilitate higher-level skill development, decision-making, and goal-setting in the sports context. This course will take you to the next level, giving you a deeper understanding of the coach approach. The focus is on coaching principles and sport-specific knowledge to equip coaches with challenging and enjoyable training opportunities for developing players.
Target Player: Intermediate to advanced bowlers at club, centre and national levels.
Duration: One Day
If you have a Development Coach accreditation and still actively coaching after two years, then it’s time to refresh by attending this course and keeping your accreditation active. Other evidence of coaching development courses can be used in place of this course.
