We are striving to evolve the perception of bowls in Auckland and celebrate what is an awesome, fun and inclusive sport that anyone can play.
The Roll Up Campaign is about raising awareness of bowls and bowing clubs and getting the public to try bowls – we want people to know where their local is (local being their bowling club).
To kick it off with a bang, Roll Up launched on 26 September on various platforms, radio and digital… plus we hosted a media launch event. We invited media outlets and sports people to Royal Oak Bowling Club to give bowls a go against each other and some awesome NZ representatives.
The Crowd Goes Wild and Seven Sharp were there to interview and watch NZ Blackjack’s Tony Grantham and Selina Goddard NZ Under 26, David Motu put Auckland Aces (cricketers) Sean Solia, Robert O’Donnell & Adithya Ashok through their paces.
It was a great launch, with lots of fun and banter between the athletes.
Make sure to tune into The Crowd Goes Wild on Monday 2 October at 7 pm and Seven Sharp on Wednesday 4 October at 7 pm.
