In March 2024, we proudly announced the establishment of the Avondale Fund Committee and the opening of applications! The Avondale Fund provides financial support under three distinct categories, helping eligible clubs with projects like covered greens, facility enhancements, and overall club development.
Avondale Fund Committee member, Marion Hakaraia commented, “The Committee has been formed to support initiatives that make an impact on our community, and we’re pleased to announce that Bridge Park is the first to receive a grant from the Fund. They’ve been awarded funds to upgrade their facilities, specifically for much-needed repairs to the clubroom roof.”
Bridge Park’s Hawkeye went on to say, “We are grateful and proud to be the first recipient of a grant from the Avondale Fund. The pavilion roof had passed its best-before date and had begun allowing rain to enter! A fortunate spell of relatively fine weather permitted the contractors to complete the job within a week.”
