Women’s event
Only one round remains in the Women’s event! Royal Oak Athena currently leads the Premier section with a convincing six-rink point advantage over St Heliers Navy. The math isn’t in St Heliers’ favour, they’ll need a clean sweep against third-place Blockhouse Bay and a favourable points differential, along with Royal Oak going down 0-6 to have any chance of taking the top spot.

In Division One, Carlton Cornwall Black is hot on the heels of Onehunga & Districts, trailing by just four points and banking on an upset as Onehunga faces Glen Eden, the bottom team in the standings.

Men’s Event
Division Three is led by Pt Chevalier, pre-tournament favourites who returned this year after a hiatus. However, every promotion spot is up for grabs, with Pakuranga and Railway Storm just five rink points behind, while Railway Trax and Howick Sharks trail closely. Pakuranga will give their all against Pt Chev in an intense Round Five matchup on Saturday morning.

In Division Two, Mt Eden, promoted from Division Three last season, holds the top position. The competition is fierce, with only three rink points separating the top five teams, including Howick Great Whites, Te Atatu Roosters, Royal Oak Apollo, and Blockhouse Bay White. Howick Great Whites might have the advantage with matchups against the lower-ranked teams, while the others face each other in a dramatic two-round finale.

Division One mirrors the intensity of Division Two. Blockhouse Bay Blue leads by six points, with East Tāmaki Aces, Papatoetoe, Pakuranga Blue, and St Heliers Gold in close pursuit. East Tāmaki Aces might have a similar edge, facing lower-ranked teams, while the rest duke it out at the top.

Auckland, the defending Premier champions, has had a challenging campaign thus far, sitting in fifth place. They face second-place Carlton Cornwall Gold on Saturday morning, followed by 8th-place Balmoral in the afternoon, as they fight to avoid relegation.

Mt Albert Lions, currently leading, has their eyes on the prize as they also prepare to face Balmoral and Carlton Cornwall, aiming to hold onto their top spot. Meanwhile, Pringle Park, last year’s runner-up, sits in the 7th-place relegation zone, looking to bounce back against Howick Hammer Heads and Onehunga & Districts sitting 3rd and 4th respectively.

Any Combination
This division promises an electrifying face-off between Auckland and Henderson, with Auckland holding a narrow two-point lead. Saturday morning’s match will be a decisive showdown for the top. Third-place Epsom Eagles aren’t out of the race yet and will take on Henderson in the final round, keeping their hopes alive with a strong performance against Papatoetoe in round five.

Half Day 6s
This competition remains wide open. Despite Pringle Park Storm’s undefeated with four wins in the Blue Section, Balmoral and Kohi Korus remain hot contenders, each with three wins. Pringle Park and Balmoral’s clash in round five will be critical, while Kohi Korus aims to come out strong against Rocky Nook Kotare Blue and Blockhouse Bay Barracudas. Equally, in the White Section, unbeaten Pakuranga faces second-place St Heliers White, who are sitting on three wins. With draws peppering the earlier rounds, teams in the middle are eyeing the ladder with ambitions of a big final day on the greens.

The final weekend of Interclub promises high stakes as teams across divisions do intense battle to secure their places on the leaderboard. With so many rivalries, narrow leads, and underdog comebacks in the mix, Saturday’s games are set to deliver unpredictable outcomes. Don’t miss the excitement as Auckland’s clubs battle for glory!
