Running alongside is the Molecheck Cup which has surged in popularity, featuring boosted prize money and a larger field from previous years, promising a weekend of top-tier competition.

The Sevens is the first step toward national club honours, and Auckland clubs have a legacy to uphold. Last season, Auckland dominated the national finals, with Auckland BC securing the men’s title and Carlton Cornwall triumphing in the women’s event. Both teams will be hungry to defend their crowns.

With the region’s best talent in action, section play promises to be a fierce battleground. The five available spots in the men’s qualifiers are wide open- predictions will be a challenge, while the women’s event will require even more nerve, with only three teams progressing.

Molecheck Cup

Evolving alongside the Sevens, the Cup has introduced the 2-4-2 pairs format, eliminating the need for markers and increasing player participation. This change promises a dynamic contest, providing a platform for both rising stars and seasoned bowlers to shine. With silverware and enticing prize money up for grabs, expect intense clashes as clubs chase victory.
