For the second year, Interclub Pennants & Half Day 6s was scheduled to play over three Saturdays. And like the previous season, the 9s and 6s tournaments raised a challenge or two for some teams and clubs… and then of course there was the wet weather!
The great news is with the use of the scheduled Reserve Day, the 2023-2024 tournament is done.
Understandably on day 1 of the competition, each of the teams in the six divisions were finding their stride within their combinations. Notwithstanding in the lead-up to the anticipation of this club vs club event, bowlers would be well aware of the importance of their responsibility within the team and invariably the way they carry out their role would determine the overall performance of the team… and points!
Congratulations to each of the division winners, we trust you enjoyed participating in the tournament.
Thank you to the host clubs and volunteers. We know what a big undertaking it is to host – to prepare club and greens and run events, so we do appreciate all of your efforts. Thanks also to the Tournament Convenors and officials.
Men’s Premier Final

Whilst Teams B & C played traditional draw bowls, Teams A decided to take a more direct / drive approach with each other. There were at least seven kills before Pringle Park took out the game, but their differential was insufficient to prevent ABC from winning the match.
