Get ready for a burst of club colours and sportsmanship as greens across Tāmaki Makaurau come alive! Over 500 players from 26 clubs are gearing up for the much-anticipated Taylor Bowls Interclub 8s and Half Day 6s, the first interclub event of the 2024-2025 calendar. The competition unfolds over three Saturdays—19 October, 2 November, and 9 November—at 22 venues around the region!

This year’s entries remain strong from last season, with a standout highlight being the Half Day 6s event, which has doubled in participation this year, jumping from 8 teams to 16. This exciting growth hints at a rising interest in this format of bowls.

What’s new:

• Men’s 8s: Based on player feedback, divisions will now consist of eight teams (down from ten), ensuring players stay on the same green throughout the day, a welcomed change after last season’s challenges.
• Women’s 8s: With increased entries (12 teams up from 10), teams are split into two divisions of six, setting the stage for thrilling competition.
